PBS offerings well worth watching

There are two shows I’m really enjoying watching lately, both available from PBS.  Yes, I’m a little late in writing about both, but full episodes can still be watched online.

The first is Original Fare, a program of shorts I stumbled across in the middle of the night a month or two ago when I was searching for something to watch on the PBS Roku channel.  The most recent episode shows the host, Kelly Cox, hunting ducks, cleaning them and then cooking them up to eat.

The other show is A Chef’s Life which has been on for a while.  A Chef’s Life is hosted by chef Vivian Howard of Chef and the Farmer over in Kinston, NC.  Each episode is focused on one ingredient (my favorite was probably when she traveled to Anson Mills), how she’s using it in her restaurant, a short cooking segment, as well as some educational stuff where she travels to learn about the ingredient.

Full episodes of Original Fare can be watched at the Youtube channel.

Full episodes of A Chef’s Life are available here.
