National love for Durham

Last week the NY Times had this piece about Durham.  It’s hardly exhaustive but is a fair representation of what our little city has to offer.  As an aside, if it weren’t for the food trucks at Fullsteam I’d recommend skipping it altogether and going to to Bull City Burger & Brewery who brew considerably more drinkable beers.

And then you can vote at Southern Living’s site for which southern city is the best food destination.  Really, there’s no chance against Charleston or New Orleans, but it can’t hurt the restaurant/dining scene here to be included.

I still find it remarkable how many places have opened up in the short time we’ve lived here, especially with a faultering economy.
