Raleigh is just not a late night town

When I first started working at the restaurant nearly two months ago, the kitchen was open until midnight Thursday through Saturday.  Since then, things have changed, with Thursday nights going back to 10 and Friday and Saturday nights rolling back just one hour to 11.

I have no real complaints about closing earlier.  The place I worked at in Chicago was open until 11 Sunday through Thursday and until 1 on Fridays and Saturdays.  That kind of sucked, especially Saturdays, and especially Sundays when I had to work them.

Also of scheduling interest is the fact that we’re closed this Sunday for the Superbowl.  Not being an American football fans this allows Erin and I the freedom to do whatever we want.  Currently we have plans to go to Durham (which is just a 10 minute drive for us) to try a place for dim-sum, go to the science museum and then explore 9th st which contains shops and restaurants.  Being Sunday in the south hopefully some places will be open.
