Favorite Albums of 2011

Here are my favorite albums of the year, roughly in order of least to most favorite.  I was going to do a little write-up for each one but have given up (the write-ups were either too pretentious sounding or too depressing).  So here they are:

11.  Let England Shake by PJ Harvey:

10.  Gimme Some by Peter Bjorn and John:

9.  Metals by Feist:

8.  No Time for Dreaming by Charles Bradley:

7.  Kaputt by Destroyer:

6.  Slave Ambient by The War on Drugs:

5.  Idle Labor by Craft Spells:

4.  Zonoscope by Cut Copy:

3.  Only in Dreams by Dum Dum Girls:

2.  Within and Without by Washed Out:

1.  Civilian by Wye Oak:

Wasn’t expecting the Wye Oak at the top, but good list.
And about the commentary… a sly cut at me? ;)

  2. Alan says:

Not at all Jon. I really had a bunch of shit written and decided to delete it all, mainly because a lot of it was too depressing or too personal to share, and if it wasn’t, it wasn’t interesting.
