Save the bay?

Here’s a worthwhile article from Rona Kobell at Reason about efforts to privatize Maryland’s portion of the Chesapeake Bay and what that could mean for the oyster industry in that state.  The article discusses Virginia’s private system which has been in place for a century or so with one permitting agency, while Maryland has for that time had a public system, dwindling stocks of oysters, and a permitting nightmare.  An interesting read.
